my garage :)

Tonight i am leaving for Accra, Ghana again. This time Inshallah i would be signing off the MOSS implementation (training and support) phases there. I haven't been able to upload related pics and artciles about my trips here, probably becuase MSN blogs are difficult to maintain as compared to facebook. :)

Anyway, much of our group is not in karachi. after my departure it leaves muhammad farooq, faraz jaffer and ahmed hamid in karacho only :)

Ping! ..... have nothing to write even after more than a year. Smile

. what a waste of space.

Well, news is i have returned from by 2nd trip at Ghana (Accra) day before yesterday (Friday), after almost 6 weeks. Had a chance to spend 20 roza and Eid ul Fitar there too (first day only). During this second trip, a lot has happened in Karachi. I hope things turn out well for us all.

For those who have aded me on facebook, they can check my profile and see my latest trip's pictures.

Greetings,

I was just wondering that 8 June 2007 marks my complete 3 years of job experience

. This time has passed quite fast. There are many things to write, like my office being shifted to new building, my department (iworks) going to Fiesta on picnic, annual dinner of Kalsoft arranged by FunClub (which btw, was the first gathering i have ever found interesting in my whole little career, worst ones i experienced were at eDev, which were less like gatherings and more like body building sessions

(combined with excruciating pain of clapping and poetry).

In these three years, things have changed drastically...on almost every aspect of my life, i will not write it here as this damned new computer table is not comfortable enough

3 years ago, my weekend was like any normal weekday (except on weekday i had to cut down my sleep and go to office). i.e. after office hours, we (at least me, kashif and farooq and most of the times babban, haris and rarely farhan murdar) used to gather at adeel's house (adeel shaved, dressed up, arranged cards and never went to office

) and just lay there till 1 clock at night, watching tv, playing cards and preparing for interviews. on weekends, we would try to meet with the gulistan e jauher sector of bhailoug.....

Now, after office hours, i am mostly at home. watching old sitcoms like seinfeld, still standing etc. , and sometimes when there is too much time to waste, writing this blog

. A new hobby i have just adopted is passing my time on orkut.

Yesterday, it was raining, lights were out, so i decided to go out. These were the friends i was able to find now

Haris ali khan.
Babu bhai.
Farhan murdar.
There still are 3 or 4 more people in karachi, but for some reasons (late sittings, assignments, classes etc) i do not bother them :P

There used to be so many in the beginning. Anyways, its all headed towards a very promising future (i hope).

This weekend:

went to electronic market twice to get my xbox fixed :), also took along farooq and he FINALLY bought a mobile.
watched "Hannibal: The Rising", excellent movie.
resumed playing Half Life 2 after almost over a year (today's session was only for 6.5 hours).

comming back home

Precisely after 70 days (this is the 71st day, the flight is in the morning so it will not be counted), i am scheduled to return back to karachi. Yesterday was my last day at Muscat, we did some last minute shopping. At night we went to see an Indian movie named Tararararum. it was a good one. reminded me of movies like 'Days of Thunder' and 'Driven'.

We retured home so late that we decided that if we get to sleep, we will not be able to wake up at 6 o clock :).....now i am the only one awake, in 15 minutes from now i shall wake the other two people who are scheduled to fly.

thats it.

8th week concluded

Greetings,

Today marks the completion of 8 whole weeks (55 days) spent in Muscat, Oman. During the time that i have spent here, i never found the idleness and loneliness to write anything in this space. i went to beaches, long walks, different hotels, different discussion sessions and photo sessions.

About the setup of kalsoft here in Oman...its excellent. There is one apartment which is owned by Kalsoft. Here, the TSM of Oman, Akhter lives in a separate rooom. There is a space for 4 or 5 more people in this apartment excluding akhter's room. The reimburesments issues are very swiftly handled. Where there are more than 5 or 6 resources present in Oman, then another apartment or room is taken from Sahara Hotel Apartments.

When we (the BI team) arrived there were quite a few people here in Oman, so we were accomodated in Sahara Hotel. Unlike Akhter's apartment there is no internet in Sahara Hotel nor the TV channels are good. But other than that, the flat is great.

This blog entry is just to pass my time. As by coincidence, many people have completed their projects and are in pakistan or to some other client side, I have to spend a couple of days (speaking optimistically) to give demo, training and take sign off for the project we were on. What type of project is it, what have we done in it, how was the experience, i am not going to write all of that here as this is my personal space.

I have bought some remote controlled toys, some chocolates... and a helicopter that FLIES :D.... for my cousins of course ;)

At this very precise moment, there is an old indian movie 'Dil' comming on Zee Cinema at Akhter's Flat. We are flipping channels. i had to make some preparations for the demo, just what to say in the demo, where to start from and how to present. INSHALLAH that will all go well.

Muscat is the best city i have seen so far :), but one thing is for sure, living alone even for a couple of days is very hard :)...
